- I bought this for my HP PC that came with built in Nvidea 9100 graphics. It has boosted the graphics capability dramatically, with experience scores from 4 to 6.8. More importantly, the performance in games is excellent. Bioshock and Silent Hunter IV run at max detail settings on my 20" monitor at native resolution of 1440X900. The card is quiet and only heard when playing the above graphics intensive games. All in all, an excellent card to upgrade a mid-level system.
- I bought this card to replace a dying GeForce 8600GT, and the difference between the two cards is dramatic. Frame rates have more than doubled. HAWX plays smoothly with no jarring or hesitations. Moreover, the temperature of the GPU rarely rises above 120F and usually hovers around 105F. The card is solidly built and well laid out, with the fan placed amid the large heatsink.My choice of card was limited by the power of the PSU -- 300 watts. I could have upgraded the PSU, but for my needs the GT240 works well enough. I strongly recommend downloading the latest drivers from Nvidia.
