- I like this card because, frankly, it's cheap. For the price, it's really not a bad little card. While the graphics capabilities aren't anywhere near what high-end cards can achieve, it can get most things done for those who are on a tight budget. It can even play some of the more modern games, albeit at much lower quality that a modern gaming card.I keep 2 around as "backup" cards for emergencies. I've seen it run games like DC Universe Online, Star Trek Online, Counter-Strike: Source, Left 4 Dead (1 and 2), Command and Conquer 4 and Red Alert 3, just to name a few.I wouldn't consider it a gaming card by any stretch of the imagination, compared to current standards... but like I said,…
- The video card in my son's build went south after four (4) years so I ordered him an upgrade from what he had and based upon the chip and memory already in place. I wasn't prepared to gut the thing and rebuild with a new mobo, chip, and memory (just yet anyway). He should be fine now with this product until he goes to college in a few short years as he's a HS freshman this year. He reports that his games are looking much better than the old card allowed and handles the new games with aplomb. "...with aplomb" he says, he also does his homework on his computer when he's not killing zombies and seeking red redemption, or crashing cars.
