The only other option was to use the PCIE slot with a graphics card. I was not interested in a high-end graphics card. This box is for a server, so basic graphics was all I needed.I chose this card because:1. It is low profile. • I needed an affordable card for a couple of dual monitor setups. We have small form factor Lenovo PC's. We'd previously purchased 110 dollar cards for a couple of other units, but wanted to budget better. I got these at half the price and the run as well if not better. I was sad to see they discontinue them.I attempted purchasing the similar model and same manufacturer (with a regular VGA and DVI Port) from another source, and every card I bought overheated in a smaller boxes. This card however with a smaller heatsink than the "newer" model I purchased are still running like a champs.
