We got an arock motherboard with the z68 chip that has integrated graphics, but I also got him a Steam account and he has basically switched from console to PC games. This made a decent video card necessary to fit well with the slightly over clocked i2500k CPU. I had already bought a HIS 6950 for my machine so we got this one that came with Dirt3 free. The 6950 runs Dirt3 at 105 FPS and the 6790 gets 90 FPS for $100 less. - This is an outstanding card for the price. Very fast framerates and comes OC'd out of the box. Looking at a 7.3 across the board with Win 7 Ult. Replaced a 9600GT with this card and performance boost was immediate. Only problem is the cr_ppy drivers and utilities disk from HIS wouldn't work. Four attempts to set up the card using the included disk failed. Finally went to AMD's site and downloaded the latest Catalyst release (11.6) and everything went smooth as silk. One drawback to the card itself, it's very big, so if ou're using a mid or smaller case or high profile memory modules, it may not fit.
