- Not long after using this card to replace a defective one in my desktop, it started making "whirring sounds" on start-up. I have determined the noise is from a fan that is not spinning due to a restriction on the card itself. It finally starts running after about 30 seconds. I sent them an email and was told, "if it works, don't worry". I won't worry, and I won't purchase another Zotac product. They also took over 3 months to send a small rebate that was included in the purchase price. The card actually lowered my computers score versus the older card it replaced which had less memory.
