- Bought this GPU for a new build. My original intention was just to use the ole EVGA 9800GT I have in my previous build and boy I am glad I did not. I thought the 9800GT did a great job graphically and I suppose for it's time and price range it was respectable, however, this card blows it away. I am actually enjoying the games I play more and in awe at all of the finer detail that this card brings out. I mean I am seeing things that were never there before when using the 9800GT. As expected my windows experience index score went up for both Graphics and Graphics gaming, but I did not expect them both to go up from a 6.8 to a 7.6 with 7.9 being the highest possible. - Bought this card to replace my MSI N9800GT 512 OC .. which despite being a 4 year old card is still pretty good but I am a heavy gamer and I started to notice a Lag with games like mafia 2 and splinter cell conviction.This card is really a bargain for its price. Well worth every penny I spent on it. This card tears into every game I run. Temps do get up to about 65 Degrees celcius under heavy gaming.. but then again I don't game for more than an hour.But with EVGA's track record ... I won't doubt this card is the card to have !
