  • It was a choice between this and of GTX 460. I chose this Radeon as it has higher (not by a whole bunch) frame rates, even though physx enabled games suffer. Card took a while to get delivered although that is not why I've given it 4 out of 5 stars (as it is the product review not seller review). The installation was a breeze however after the initial install card seemed unreasonably loud. Contacted XFX and they suggested a vbios upgrade. Burned the disc and run the update of the vbios. The software required me to restart the PC and this is where trouble started. For some odd reason the flashing of vbios with the xfx sent link (ISO image for a DVD) failed and the first card was left unusable.…
  • The XFX 6870 works pefectly with dell system. I wanted to upgrade the graphics card on the dell xps 8300 which came with the radeon HD 6450. I first bought the ASUS Radeon 6770 from amazon but it wouldn't work on my system. It kept crashing the computer after I installed the card. I then thought that it might be the power supply even though the Dell's 460W PSU should have been enough. So I upgraded the PSU to 550W Cooler Master. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. So, I figured either the card was bad or the ASUS card may be incompatible with my system for some reason. I returned the HD6770 and ordered the 6870 from a different manufacturer.
