For my first computer build, I chose a cheap video card - GT 220, but I didn't see any improvement over the GT 130M in my laptop. The GTX 550 is a sweet card. I can play games at the highest settings at 1920x1080. I don't know much about AA, but I don't always set that at the MAX, usually at 4x or 8x. I am not a video card expert, so I don't understand why there are $1,000+ video cards out there. The only thing I can think of is for gaming on multiple displays, or for the most graphically intensive games on the market.I highly recommend this card. I LOVE gtx's I've had a gtx9800+ for a long time and accidentally I've destroyed the cooler with the compressed air while I was cleaning. I was so mad when I realized my graphic card was broken. Then I've decided to buy another graphic card and after some research I bought gtx 550 ti. This is a great graphic card for money you pay so far I'm happy. I would recommend to my friends this card.
