ASUS EAH5450 SILENT/DI/512MD3(LP) Radeon HD 5450 SILENT 1400 MHz (700 MHz DDR3) Video Card
  • I'm not a tech guy. Just a guy with a computer. I'm running an HP Slimline in a hot, dusty environment. I've gone through three NVidia GeForce 210's. The fan-bearings failed in all three in a matter of months, causing the cards to overheat and fail.I then tried two EVGA Passive (fanless) 210's. Both failed within 45 minutes.I've been running HD video through this 5450 for over 24 hours straight now with no problems at all. I think I've finally got a winner. And if I don't, I'll update it here.
  • This is one of the lowest end GPUs that AMD has to offer, but it is still very powerful. This card will easily run 2 monitors at a resolution of 2560x1024 while playing casual games like Minecraft or RACE '07. With Catalyst, the card can easily be overclocked to run higher end games like CoD or Section 8: Prejudice. In World at War at a resolution of 1280x720 with medium settings I almost never drop below 40FPS. Using Eyefinity the desktop can be stretched across up to 3 monitors for a better experience in racing games, though this card probably couldn't handle more than 2. If you are looking to get decent framerates in non graphics-heavy games, this will do the job. If you want to run more…
