  • I have an old Dell Optiplex GX620 with a SFF chassis. I decided to re-purpose it as an low budget HTPC (for now) as I'm paying $300 a year to the cable company to rent a cable box and DVR. With this rig and Windows Media Center I have a much better user interface as well as a central hub for all my media needs. One of the things the GX620 is notorious for is the design flaw in the small form chassis that causes it to overheat easily. This usually causes the CPU fan to sound like a vacuum cleaner. So I upgraded to a core duo processor, added some RAM, and (after days of research) decided to get this video card. I can play games now that I couldn't before, and for more modern, but slightly older games (Like Fallout New Vegas), it recommends high graphics, whereas before I was set to the minimum. It won't play newer releases at max settings, but I bet it can play most games available today. If you are building a gaming PC this isn't for you, but if you have a crappy mini prebuilt with onboard…
