- The product does everything it says in the specs and it does it well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 of 5 stars is because it really wants a third screen in place. If you buy the 3H2GO, you need 3 screens unless you have a majorly tunable graphics card program. I run a MBP i7, summer of 2010, and it doesn't know how to just use two of three ports on the 3H2GO DP. Also the mac stretches out the screens somewhat. I am running twin 24" Acer LCD P244W. I think it would work better with X3 22's and if I could adjust the resolution a bit more on the MAC I think it would be perfect. But as I mentioned it does exactly what it advertised so I can't complain.
- I had to write this review in response to another review that says the TripleHead won't work well with just two monitors. I run two monitors all the time. The trick is to use output #1 and #3 if you are using just two of the three outputs. My 3H2G DP works well with my 17" MacBookPro as well with my new Mac Pro with an ATI 5870 video card. I run two monitors at 1920x1080 each. The only bummer is you need to buy a mini DisplayPort to (full size) DisplayPort cable and if you are running to DVI monitors (like I do) you need a (full size) DisplayPort to DVI connecter for each output. (note, Apples Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapters will not work, has to be Full size DisplayPort). So figure an extra…
