  • The original GeForce 8500 GT graphics card in my HP Slimline s3200t computer died, so I tried to run using just the Intel integrated 3-d graphics. That was a mess. Graphics performance was poor and choppy. Plus my machine experienced lock-ups during CPU intensive games. It took me 3 tries to find a suitable replacement for the original GeForce board. The HP s3200t is a mini-case with very little free-space.. Full-height video card and cards with bulky fans won't fit. The original GeForce had a very loud fan, so I wanted to find something quieter. I finally found that this fan-free ASUS GeForce 8400 GS board fits perfectly. And since there's no fan, it's completely silent. My family uses this computer…
  • The last video card was a 128mb (then the biggest I could get, but it was a fan kind)Shortly after getting the Fan type of cooler, the fan went out and no more video - so took a old 486 intel processor heat sink and put it on that card the same place that the Fan was. And that monkey business heat sink lasted for longer than the original fan type did.So, I know that having a huge Heat Sink would definitely work and I would not have more AC/DC juice being used for a fan that has a Bearing that can go out and bye bye Video card again. So, I bought one and it has worked great for quite awhile, then built another computer and bought another 512mb ASUS car.I have a Hot Processor that generates a lot…
