- I had a 8400GS and upgraded to this card. It runs great. I recommend it. I just got it today and no problems so far, fingers crossed.
- I don't know what to say except AWESOME!!! No Cons at all. Very Quiet fan, hardly audible. This card has a removeable/replaceable 80mm fan. How awesome is that!!! My idle GPU Temp (About 1 - 2 minutes after Startup) is 51 degrees centigrade as reported with HWMONITOR. Plays sound through the HDMI internally. Replaced my Asus EN9800GT which also played sound through the HDMI but the 9800 GT required an external SPDIF cable hooked up to the mother board which this one does not. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better along came this video card. I am using this card on an ASUS P5Q SE PLUS Motherboard, Antec 650W PS, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor, 4GB of Kingston HyperX DDR2 1066 Ram,…

- I know nothing about Pilat; never owned their products before. So, I took a chance. Long-term I have no idea what to say. Customer service is a big unknown because I just returned mine to Amazon. The product seemed on par with the big brands. 3DMark Advantage score very impressive 27793, GPU score 23826 (70fps). In practical terms I was only able to try one game on it, FSX. If you know FSX then you know what a resource hog it is. I've played it on twin 8800 GTX's, GTX 260, GTX 295, and now GTX 580. It still won't run on anything more than moderate settings. But I don't think that's a fair test. Nothing I know runs that game well.I would say this card might be a good investment for those looking…
- This is the 2nd GTX 580 I purchased (the first one was from a store in Singapore) so this Palit card, though was not identical to the first palit card, served me very well.Once i plugged it into my system (core i7 2600k, SSD, loads of ram) became blazing fast in every single game i threw at it.Especially Crysis warhead. I am finally getting over 40-50fps with enthusiast settings at a resolution of 2560x1600 with FSAAx4 - now that is an experience onto itself. :D

- If you need to upgrade an older computer to support directX 9.0 - like if your kids want to play computer games like spongebob or pixar cars etc - this is the card for you. This is the cheapest one I could find that would support directX 9.0. Any windows operating system from 98 on up will support directX but if your hardware doesn't support it - you're out of luck.
- I have a Dell computer that's about 4 years old. It has the built-in Intel graphics adapter. I needed something better for my kids to be able to play Lego Indiana Jones. This card has worked great. No problems. Some reviewers mentioned that it increased the overall speed of their computer. I didn't notice that, but I wasn't really expecting it . Don't forget to disable your on-board video before you finish the install!
