  • I purchased this card to go into a mini-ITX case.I was building a mini-ITX using a Xeon E3-1230 CPU. That chip does not include integrated graphics, which the motherboard I'm using requires. The only other option was to use the PCIE slot with a graphics card. I was not interested in a high-end graphics card. This box is for a server, so basic graphics was all I needed.I chose this card because:1. It is low profile. The low profile tab is provided, and it only takes a minute to switch the standard size one it comes built with.2. Includes the VGA adapters, which I need. Not all DVI cards come with the VGA adapters which require you to go and additionally purchase those.3. Low power consumption.…
  • I needed an affordable card for a couple of dual monitor setups. We have small form factor Lenovo PC's. We'd previously purchased 110 dollar cards for a couple of other units, but wanted to budget better. I got these at half the price and the run as well if not better. I was sad to see they discontinue them.I attempted purchasing the similar model and same manufacturer (with a regular VGA and DVI Port) from another source, and every card I bought overheated in a smaller boxes. This card however with a smaller heatsink than the "newer" model I purchased are still running like a champs.

  • I just picked one of these up when they went on sale to replace my old 8600 GTS 256MB. What a world of difference. Even though this card is a few years old, it can still run with the best of them. My system was fairly high-end when I built it a few years ago, so it isn't slow (AMD Phenom X4 @ 2.5GHz w/8GB memory), but it's by no means high-end today. I hoped that wouldn't matter, since games nowadays rely so heavily on the graphics card, and I was right. Games with slightly older engines (Portal 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3) run at every setting maxed out, 60+ FPS. Newer games like Battlefield 3 and Skyrim both run very well with settings at mid-to-high (this is all at 1680 x 1050 resolution,…

  • The item itself arrived in a relatively timely manner with no delays. Inside the box, however, the packaging left me a bit skeptical. Even though it looks like the product itself was not damaged while it was being transported, the lack of any preventive measures left me skeptical. The box for the product itself filled up the entirety of the box being used to ship it, leaving little room for any padding or material to deter any accidental drops or bumps. Regarding the box for the video card itself, there did not appear to be any signs of tampering, which was a good sign. Instead of removing the carton tray directly from the box, an interior paper tray slides out that holds the carton. Meaning,…

  • I recently started working with SolidWorks at home and needed a better graphics card than the one my computer came with. I decided to go with the Quadro FX380 and I couldn't be happier with it. You can't use a gaming card for SolidWorks, there will always be issues. In my case the program would crash sometimes when rotating the model and chunks of black would appear onscreen. After I installed this card I haven't had one issue with the graphics.
  • Like any other cheap quadro card, just needed it for compatibility to run a certain cad program. My 9500GT I had earlier just couldn't display properly which became rather annoying. Primarily doing 3D modeling, this card works. I have been using the cheaper quadros for several years and they tended to last just over 2 years, for the price it's cheap to replace. This time around figure may be the overheating that's been killing it and had always left the stock-cooler on. Picked up a vantec iceberq5 copper gpu cooler (see pics). Temp dropped easily 10 degrees during use and monitored using gpu-z.

  • I was previously hesitant to shop at amazon or at T-Spire, in terms of legality or its products. I was wrong. My first order submitted properly and on time. and correspondence services in fast respond well by T-Spire. Good.
  • You shouldnt forget that professionals working in 3D modeling and design systems value not only high speed, but also high-quality and precision in drawing lines and surfaces that is performed without any simplifications. The gaming graphics card drivers, however, are optimized for maximum performance at any rate. Therefore, they are often unable to provide the precision professionals need during work in CAD and CAM applications. That is why specialists working in 3D modeling and design systems never question the need for a special professional graphics solution.

  • I was heavy into modding my PC about 5 or so years ago. But my rig is currently a dinosaur running a single core 3.0ghz P4 with 1.5GB RAM. Nothing spectacular as you can see. But I came from using an old 6600GT to this and the difference is amazing.I know that this is a low end video card but I have to admit for the price that I paid for it at Best Buy ($99.00) it was well worth it. The most current games I've thrown at it and both have run well with all options on except for AA is Dragon Age Origins and Resident Evil 5 both running on my HD display at 1920x1080.Great value all around.
  • The price point for this product was cheap, installation was a snap, runs fine for me.

  • This card works very well and handles everything I've thrown at it. It scores 7.8 on the Windows Experience Index. There have been no problems with heat and does not seem noticeably loud (though my case fans kinda are, so I could be mistaken). I enjoy how it looks, as it doesn't look like a formula 1 race car.
  • Purchased this card as a upgraded from my previous PNY graphics card. Installation took less that 15 mintues thank's to PNY technical support. No need to remove previous driver, just removed old card and installed new card and booted computer up. Card was reconized rightaway, then rebooted one more time and was ready too enjoy! Super graphics and video playback. Added plus is that it came with a $30.00 rebate from PNY. Thank's Amazon and PNY!
