EVGA GeForce GT 430 1024 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 2DVI/Mini-HDMI Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1431-KR

• This is not the first one of these I have bought. I ordered a new Dell Vostro and did not like the choices they offered. I am not into heavy gaming or video production, but I wanted to not use the onboard video and steal CPU resources. A $70 easy solution. This card with a Gig onboard is more than sufficient for anything I have thrown at it. We have a LAN with 9 computers here, and I rely on these cards for fast installation and solid performance. The environment is Small Business, heavy on graphics, with a little video work, much web editing, spreadsheets, and other "Boring Stuff".Serious gamers might want something that needs a welder for a power supply..I guess. I don't know. These are happy with the common 350 Watt Power Supplies. This machine runs W7, 64 Bit. Plugged it in the slot, W7 went and got the lastest drivers, I just watched, and was not invited to participate :-)That's a Good Thing, just as it should be.

Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 2GB DDR5 DL-DVI-I/SL-DVI-D/HDMI/Dual Mini DP PCI-Express Graphics Card 100311-3SR

• I bought this card from Amazon and relied upon the clear manufacturer's (Sapphire) specifications that the card was only 9.8" long. When I received the card, it looked kind of long, so I measured it. Well, it is REALLY 10.75" long. If you have a limited space case (like mine, with a 10" maximum card length), this is NOT going to work out. Obviously, this is NOT Amazon's mistake, but I certainly wish Sapphire had been a bit more careful in their representation that the card is only 9.8" long. Needless to say, this whole matter was a disappointment. However, the GOOD NEWS is that I bought this card from a reputable vendor (Amazon) who stands behind its sales and took the card back, no questions asked, and even paid the return shipping. As a consumer, this unfortunate transaction reinforced my belief that, overall, there is no better online vendor than Amazon, nowhere, nohow! Amazon, you have my continued faithful support and my business. Merry Christmas!
