- First of all, I'm not sure why anyone would buy the normal GTX 580 when this one is the same price!! Anyway that's really not important, what is important is that this card is awesome. I basically purchased this so I could play skyrim on ultra and it has far exceeded my expectations. I am actually playing the game now with the skyrim hd mod that has even higher resolution textures and there is still no slow down. I'm coming from a GTX 285 and I didn't think I would need to upgrade for a loong time but I guess that time has come sooner than expected.Basically, if you're wondering if this card is worth the price tag, yes it is.
- I upgraded from a 9800gt and now I can finally play skyrim without a problem. This card is pretty bigso make sure you have room in your case for it. I have an x79 setup in a hafx-942 case so its a nice addition to the rest of the hardware.

- Well I wanted to get my quad display going. I am configuring my somewhat older system for mostly stock market charts, and 1 live video capture (PCI Sat card). My original idea was to just purchase another cheap display adapter for the second unused slot on my mainboard. My mainboard is a GIGABYTE P67A-UD3 and there is 2 PCIe x16 slots, so I made good om my original idea. I bought a new shiny, and very cheap AMD HiS graphics adapter with dual outputs to go along side my old trusty Nvidia Galaxy 8800GT adapter (that also has dual HDMI outputs). Everything worked fine for about a 5 minutes then -low and behold. I kept getting- AMD driver just recovered from a terrible, terrible, error, but fixed…
- Purchased "Used - Like New" PNY Technologies NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450 board and cables only. There was one offered for $40 less without cables. There are both active and passive DisplayPort to DVI adapters. To ensure that I got the correct cables ordered the one with cables.Cables======Four Hewlett-Packard - 481409-001 - DisplayPort to DVI Adapter cables were included with NVS 450 graphics board. Markings on cables: HPK-481409-001(A) VER 3 FOXCONN 1045. The best price that I could find for similar cables was more than the $40 that I paid for them with the graphics board. The NVS450 has two GPUs. Install the cables as stamped under the card connectors which is 1-4-2-3. Monitor Cable 1…

- I was kind of skeptical about buying this card, mostly because of the price, kind of high for sure, but let me tell you something, this GPU worths every penny of the full price! The card is insanely fast and best of things, it runs very silently, you can barely feel it when it's working, considering how massive, huge and the power it holds it an incredible tech job Nvidia has done to accomplish all this. There is no game this card cannot run flawlessly, every game I've thrown at this monster it has devoured with no problems, every single game running in DX11 (when available), 1920x1200, and all settings at the max possible has ran so smooth as hot butter!Since this is a brand new GPU you can…
- I, unlike the other guy who posted the negative review, own this card... I bought it from Newegg last Thursday and received it today. I can assure you, it has not blown up in my case yet... When you overclock stuff, you're always running a risk of blowing something out. I haven't heard anyone blowing out their video card running it stock or even a mild OC.This card runs my games perfectly fine at max settings. I'm waiting to get my 3rd monitor back from Samsung so I can put it to the test with Nvidia Surround. No complaints here.BTW, why is Benji Dude looking to purchase this card if he has such a negative outlook on it? Seems like he can't get one and he's upset that he has to settle for a 6990.EVGA…

- I have a total of 12 of these operating in different machines and all have worked well and proven reliable. Installation is very simple and the Nvidia drivers are straight forward. The only glitch was a compatibility issue with the Intel 915GEV motherboard as they do not appear to co-operate with these cards. This appears to be an issue with the motherboard though and not this card as other graphics cards fail with this motherboard.
- This is a great card for multiple montors not have support of 3d in real but is not designed for this situation

- I have 2 of these cards running in SLI and they run pretty cool just make sure to install a program to control the fans (MSI Afterburner) because the auto feature just keeps the fans running at 30% 100% of the time. They run BF3, Skyrim, MW3, and Starcraft 2 maxed out on 1080p at around 40 - 60 fps, those are the only games I have tried out. Message me for any questions you may have.
- There are better cards out there and unless you have a huge bank account that allows you to buy what ever you want this card hits the mark.I've run Tribes Ascend at 720P and highest settings without a hitch. The only issue, not much of one at that, I have is that I read in reviews I could've gone with the model that was $20 cheaper and pushed it to the same limits I can get from this card. Without actually having one of those cards for testing though I am completely satisified with my purchase. The fan noise is non existant and from what I could see the thing stays cool under pressure. Obviously at 720P I'm not pushing this card to hard but for what I'm running and what I'm expecting this card…
